What Are Claims

In claims, other players don't have permission to build, open containers, or even push buttons and open doors.

Creating a Claim

Right-click two opposite corners while holding a golden shovel to create a claim. You can obtain a free golden shovel by voting for the first time. You can visualize your claim borders by right-clicking the ground while holding a stick. If you are also sneaking while right-clicking the ground and holding the stick, it will show you all nearby claims. You can obtain claim blocks using /buyclaimblocks or redeeming crate keys that are obtained from voting or donating. You can use the command /claimlist to see a list of claims you have and a count of your unused claim blocks.

Adding Players to a Claim

You can configure certain players to have certain levels of trust in your claim. This allows you to be very specific on what actions someone can take in your claim.

  • /accesstrust: Grants a player entry to your claim(s) and use of your bed, buttons, and levers.

  • /containertrust: Grants a player access to your claim's containers, crops, animals, bed, buttons, and levers.

  • /trust: Grants a player full access to your claim(s).

  • /permissiontrust: Grants a player permission to grant his level of permission to others.

  • /untrust: Revokes a player's access to your claim(s).

  • /trustlist: Lists permissions for the claim you're standing in.

If you would like to give everyone permission in your claim, you can use public as the player name.

More Claim Management

You can delete a claim with /abandonclaim. You can resize a claim by right clicking on an existing corner with a golden shovel.

Locks

You can also make single-block locks with /lock. These blocks can be unlocked with /unlock. You can add players to the lock with /cmodify. To allow for a hopper to feed items into a locked container, you must use /chopper. Players must rankup to unlock the commands /cdonation, /cdisplay, and /cpassword which can be used to create additional types of locks.

Using Both

If you choose to use both of these protection methods, please note that to add someone to a container, they must be added to both the claim and the lock.
